In present world email is the most essential and easiest way of communication with other people anywhere on the globe. This system is affected by different crimes. There are many mistakes, which are behind the damages caused due to breach of email privacy. The reasons are the followings:

1. Using one email ID is a mistake for all email holders. An email owner should use at least three email addresses.
2. Many holders have no private computer at home and they use computers in libraries and labs. After logging onto an email, ID in public places they may only sign out in the web browser, but it is not the absolute resolution. The user name is saved on the web browser. It is a must to close that web browser, otherwise there can be a hazardous situation with the email address.

4. Sometimes different companies use personal email address to continue their sensitive commercial work. That can cause huge damage to the companies by breaching the privacy of the email accounts.
5. Most of the people use easy and simple passwords. As result, other people can hack that email address. For instance, some people use their birth date as a password; hackers can easily break the password since it is a common password.
6. Most email users do not scan the attached files before downloading them. As a result, the attached files could have been sent from a virus writer and it may have many virus, worms and spywares attached to it.
7. Most of the people write email without thinking of the future result. We generally think that if the email has been deleted from the mailbox then it is finished forever, but that is not true. After deleting the email it still, remain on the remote server for some years. Therefore, it can be treated as an everlasting document or data.
8. Sometimes we get some email, which indicates that we won a lottery of millions of dollars. This is called the phishing attack. This mail wants personal information of that email account holder and sometimes the password. This can cause the email account to be hacked.
9. Sometimes false emails can be found in the mail account, which shows that it was sent from a particular bank or trusted authority. This email asks for information about the user. Sometimes it asks for u to upgrade the information. A person will lose his/her valuable information and property if he/she does that.
10. Most of the new users delete the spam mails without blacklisting them. This will cause u to keep getting undesirable emails, which will cause disturbance.
11. Most of the people do not use or make spam filter disable. This can cause increase of junk mail in inbox, which can cause complication in finding the necessary emails.
12. Some people provide the password and other information to other people for maintaining the email. However, this can cause u to lose that email account.
The above-mentioned issues are the common mistakes of email holders. These mistakes can cause both the damage of an email account in addition to property related with email-based business.
